How would one integrate concepts of Leadership, Management and Planning to create a vision for excellence in the healthcare supply chain, and determine fundamental tenets of performance evaluation for the healthcare supply chain?

Does your model from the question, immediately above, maximize clinician time for the care process? Discuss and explain your answer?

Body:

There are three concepts; Leadership, Management, and Planning. Each of these concepts are separate discussions, and should be labeled as an independent “title” for independent discussion in the paper. After each independent and separate discussion, you will bring all three together to explain how all concepts “integrated” helps creates a vision for excellence in the healthcare supply chain.

Below are “Things to Discuss,” but with all that you have covered in your textbook up to this point, I expect you to include some things that are not listed. Each discussion point is related to either Leadership, Management, or Planning, but that is up to you to decide where it best fits. Where it fits depends on the direction you’re going in. There is no right or wrong placement, it’s up to you. With that said, you may find that four or five discussion points should be discussed under “Management,” and three or four different discussion points should be discussed under “Leadership,” and so on.

Website icon APA Style and Format.
Website icon Capella Library: Ask a Librarian.

This assignment is due at the end of week 10.

Assignment Preparation

Note: Before you submit this assignment, you must have completed:
•The minimum requirements for the discussion, “Test Bias in Test Development.”
•The Current and Future Trends module in the CogBooks Adaptive Learning tool.

Assignment Instructions

Ethical principles are part of everything psychologists do. Clinicians, researchers, academics, and any other area you can think of must perform ethically. We follow the code of ethics of our professional associations (i.e. the American Psychological Association). To prepare for this assessment, use the suggested resources and other scholarly sources to investigate the ethical implications of common psychometric issues related to errors in test administration, scoring, and interpretation; bias and fairness; and the role of technology in psychological testing. Based on your research, you will write a paper in three parts, as instructed below. You will examine the APA code of ethics (the Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Ethics, linked in the Assignment Resources) in relation to these topics. You will develop a plan to avoid violating APA ethical principles in your current or future profession, and outline the steps you will take.

Assignment Preparation

Complete the following activities to prepare for this assignment:
•In the Salkind text read, Chapter 19, pages 306–330.
•In the Standards text read, Chapters 7, 8, 9, 10, pages 123–168.
•Access and explore the American Psychological Association’s Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct.
•From the Capella Library read: ◾Scheu, I. E., & Lawrence, T. (2013). Considerations of translating psychological tests into digital mediums: A case study. Journal of Educational Computing Research, 49(2), 133–154.
◾Nicholson, I, R. (2011). New technology, old issues: Demonstrating the relevance of the Canadian Code of Ethics for Psychologists to the ever-sharper cutting edge of technology. Canadian Psychology, 52(3), 215–224.

Search the Capella databases for any additional, current, peer-reviewed research articles that will help you to complete this project.

Assignment Instructions

There are three parts to the assignment. You must complete them all. Your paper should be between 6-12 pages (excluding the title page, abstract, and reference section). There is no minimum or maximum number of pages for each section. However, be sure to cover everything required. Be sure to review the general, organizational, and literature requirements below.

Part One: Test Administration, Scoring, and Interpretation

Most of the standardized tests you use will be psychometrically sound, but problems can still occur during and after a psychological test is administered. This can happen during test administration, scoring, and interpretation. Based on your research, identify and evaluate issues related to errors in test administration, scoring, and interpretation. Include the following:
•Describe and evaluate common errors made in the administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychological tests.
•Identify APA ethical principles that are directly related to the administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychological tests and provide examples of instance where these would apply. Begin with Section 9 of the APA code of conduct.
•Identify APA principles that are indirectly related to psychological assessment, such as those addressing competency, avoidance of harm, and informed consent. Evaluate how they are related to psychological assessment.
•Outline the steps you can take to minimize testing errors so you do not violate APA principles related to the administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychological tests.

 John F. Kennedy
Washington D.C., October 23, 1963

Introduction
These words marked a major turning point in America’s resolve to protect its citizens against all types of external adversaries. Although President John F. Kennedy used these words against Russia during the Cuban Crisis, the statement remains relevant to America’s policy of protecting its citizens against real and perceived threats. Currently, the nation faces one of its most difficult test, eliminating terrorism threats. Previously, the United States has had success in dealing with terrorist groups such as al-Qaeda, Taliban, and al-Shabaab among others. However, the major test the country currently faces is fighting a terrorist outfit that has established itself for extreme barbarism, and the ability to attract foreign fighters into its ranks.
The formation of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), and the activities of the Al Qaeda-inspired outfit represents the apotheosis of terrorism in the world. In this submission, I will discuss the reasons for supporting and opposing a military offensive against extremist organizations such as ISIS. Throughout this paper, I will also discuss the threats posed by ISIS and the measures proposed by the United States to fight the terrorist organization. The advent and activities of the terrorist group is a burning issue to United States and its coalition partners such as Britain, Canada, and Saudi Arabia. The United States and its allies concern is to protect innocent civilians in Iraq and Syria, prevent the spread of ISIS, and to eliminate all forms of terrorism.
The operation against ISIS is called Operation Inherent Resolve, and the United States and the coalition partners have used it to destabilize the militant group that continues to cause havoc to Iraqi and Syrian citizens, threatening regional stability, and further spread of terrorist activities. ISIS is a rebellious militant group that was shunned by Al Qaeda because of its extremity. The group seeks to oppose modern principles used in various countries, and impose the strictest forms of Sharia law. The use of force plays a major role in shaping our global structure although it does not help in settling disputes.
The focus of ISIS is the creation of an Islamic state in Syria and Iraq where the group enjoys support from sympathizers. ISIS is a major threat to various Muslim countries in the region, including Iran, Syria, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia among others. Various nations have joined hands to halt the progress of the militant group and prevent it from imposing their afflict laws on their citizens. ISIS does not seek to convert non-Muslims into being Muslim adherents, and this is clear from the group’s activities where it murders non-Muslims, Muslims, and Muslim converts indiscriminately. It is clear that many countries including Iran, Saudi Arabia, and other Arab countries oppose ISIS. The militant group is an expansionist one, and it poses threats to regional peace and stability in the Middle East.
In the United States, most citizens concur that the group is dangerous to global security and support efforts to eliminate the group. Findings from a recent research conducted by Pew Research Center indicated a bipartisan support for United States’ efforts to defeat ISIS with 60% of Democrats and 64% or Republicans approving the president’s plan. About 53% of the adults interviewed approved the presidential plan while the rate of disapproval was 29%. However, the findings are inconclusive on the reasons why some citizens support or oppose the idea of attacking ISIS. In the subsequent sections, some of the posited reasons for supporting and opposing a military offensive against ISIS are discussed. The submission will also discuss some of the approaches applied by the United States government in ensuring that the ISIS militant group is defeated.
