Quality of care and services are hallmarks of a modern-day healthcare industry. Similar to the other healthcare facilities, behavioral healthcare services also strive for quality. One of the challenges faced in measuring quality is measuring the outcome of services.

Outcome-based service is a relatively new concept. For the most part, therapists, for instance, would judge the success of treatment based on individualized, and subjective clinical notes. Although this might be good for individuals receiving therapy, it does not really help the therapist understand the most efficient form of therapy with the best outcome. However, this understanding is essential when trying to manage the cost, quality, and access of the behavioral services (the hallmarks of managed care).

What are the challenges faced (at least three) while measuring outcomes for psychotherapy? Which among these challenges do you think is the most crucial, and why?

Research any two models of psychotherapy and examine the procedures, especially the time frames and expected outcomes from that therapy. Which, in your opinion, would be a better choice as an outcome-based therapy? Why? Justify your answers with appropriate research and reasoning.

Ok this is a letter that will be sent to the nursing state board for licensure purposes (I need this letter of explanation to obtain an authorization/approval to take the state boards).

The letter should detail the circumstances surrounding the arrest the date of the incident the resultant conviction disciplinary actions and completion dates of imposed penalties. The letter should show regret and understanding of the consequences of my actions. Also this letter show that I have taken responsibility for my actions since the arrests happened in 2004. Some history of myself after I was arrested is as follows: after successful completion of probation and all disciplinary actions I enlisted active duty ARMY in 2007. I served in the army for 5 years and deployed to Iraq for 15 months. During my time in the Army I continued my military education. I also got married in 2007 and have been married for 9 years now. I am the father to my step daughter and the husband to my loving wife. I found my true calling during times when I was taking care of wounded soldiers and consequently decided to terminate my military contract voluntarily and under honorable conditions. I enrolled in and was accepted into nursing school and I have just graduated nursing school and Im very excited and motivated to become a nurse and continue making a difference in peoples lives. Also I have included a typed copy of the police/arrest reports which you will find below as this information may help you in writing about the circumstances surrounding my arrests.
ARREST 1:
Circumstance surrounding the arrest: I was arrested in the area of a vehicle that was stolen. What happened was that I was in my front yard early in the morning getting ready to start gardening on a hot summer day. An acquaintance which I did not know well drove by and asked me if I wanted to go for a ride. He had suggested getting some breakfast at Burger King. I agreed to get into the vehicle. I did not know the vehicle was stolen at that time as their were no indications that the vehicle was stolen (i.e. the vehicle appeared in working order and the driver had the keys to the vehicle). It was at that time the driver of the vehicle suggested to obtain some marijuana. The driver then proceeded to drive erratically and eventually the front tire blew out and the vehicle stopped. Additionally the driver of the vehicle was yelling obscene things as we passed people. It was at this time that the driver informed myself that the vehicle was stolen. Also I was completely honest with the police about this incident while the other acquaintances were not. More all conviction were later expunged.
Conviction: PC 496d (California Penal Code Section 496d) Receiving Stolen Property Misdemeanor.
Disciplinary actions: 3 years of informal/conditional probation a fine of $520 and restitution in the amount of $325. Note: community service was done in lieu of the $520 fine. 45 hours of community service was completed.
Date of Incident: 06/27/2004

It is a dissertation for a bachelor level in nursing and it is a systemic review of different articles and journals. From the requirement of the university, it is needed to identified 6-8 articles in the dissertation as a critical literature review.The structure of the dissertation is divided into different parts.It is started with introduction and backgrounds, which accounts for around 2300 words.In this section, it is to address why I am interested in the selected area and topic. Firstly it’s a general area of interest, like the clinical area which I am working in, i.e in the neurosurgical unit, It’s encourage to link to the relevant Hospital Authority’ Annual plans (Hong Kong). Then describe how the topic was established and form, like how’s the significance or why it is important to concern about it with some statistic or article to support. And the last part in the introduction part is to clearly state the selected topic and explain the flow and structure of the paper. Besides, the research question, aim and objective should be stated.The second part is methodology and methods, which accounts for 2000 words.In the part, a short section is needed to be included to discuss what literature says about literature reviews as a research methodology and writer’s thought in literature review, whether is an appropriated methodology fir the study. It is recommended to included other research methodology as comparison. After that, it is needed to describe how to search and what database was used in searching the articles with reasons.The terms used in the searching of articles are needed to be listed out in a form of Boolean search table(s). Effective Communication
From moment to moment, a nurse leader’s day involves communication—with patients, families, colleagues, supervisors, and so on.

Think of a particular day you spent working in a health care environment, and consider three or four distinct points in time. For each point of time, consider the following: With whom did you interact? Which forms of communication did you use? What issues were communicated about—did they seem to be light-hearted or sensitive? Straightforward or complicated? How would you describe the pace of the interactions and your work?

As you consider these questions, it becomes clear that communication can be quite complex, with many layers of meaning that shape the experience for everyone involved. How could this awareness help you to understand instances of ineffective communication when they arise?

Review the information in Chapter 19 of the course text, as well as the assigned articles.
