Read Nour Dados and Raewyn Connell’s “The Global South”, “Guide to writing” as assigned for week 2 and select an article for “Theory Text Bank”.
After having read Dados and Connell’s “The Global South”, “Guide to writing” and a text of your choice from “Theory Text Bank”, draft a self-clarification essay for your eyes only on the theoretical strengths and weakness of the text you selected and whether the concept of the “Global South” significantly contributes to development discourses. For the part I essay, you will be required to pen a theoretical position in the introduction that will contour the frame of your essay. In other words, you will need to present the theoretical perspective(s) you are engaging and/or critiquing in your part I essay.
