Goal: The goal for this assignment is to produce a title, a rationale, a hypothesis, and a problem statement that clearly establishes the research-worthiness of the study you’re proposing.

Content Requirements: Complete all the assigned readings and start creating a clear narrative about the area/arena of interest for your study by selecting a topic in which you have a deep interest or one that you would like to explore further. Produce a problem statement that clearly establishes the research-worthiness of the study you’re proposing. The problem and question need to stem from the literature rather than simply from your personal experiences. It is strongly recommended that you select an area of interest that will also serve as a topic for your future endeavors.

Include the following components:

• Title that fits the problem
• Rationale
• Statement of the problem
• Hypothesis / research question

Format Requirements: The work is to be clear and concise, and you will lose points for improper grammar, punctuation, and spelling. The work is to be no shorter than 2 pages nor longer than 3 pages in length and follow APA style (Times New Roman 12-point font, double-spaced, one-inch margins). You will automatically lose points if these limits are not followed. Citations should be referenced according to APA style (the library has a copy of the APA manual). Identify a minimum of 5 complete references that directly relate to the selected problem, and include at least 5 in-text citations in your submission. The references should include multiple sources (e.g., books, periodicals, internet reports, etc.). All work must be submitted as a Word document.
