Introduction

Week Four extends students’ study of home-school-community partnerships to include children whose development is atypical or who have learning disabilities or differences. In this week’s discussion, students explore the impact that a child with special needs has on the family. In addition, students identify specific strategies early childhood professionals can use to support families in the early intervention process. Students continue the research process by analyzing the data collected last week, connect it to current literature and discuss their findings.
