How Will the Nurse Pratitioner role affect Healthcare?

How Will the Nurse Pratitioner role affect Healthcare?

In this paper identify a problem in the nursing field. The paper length will be 1000 words in length (word count does not include the references or the title page, but only within the paper itself) . It starts with a problem and ends with a solution to the problem. This makes the research problem very important as it serves as the axis around which the whole research revolves. A research problem begins with a question of concern to the researcher. It forms around the WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE and WHAT of a problem situation. Sources for research questions may arise from work, from something you read (that leaves you looking for more), and from theories that need to be tested. Obtain some peer reviewed articles in the area that you have identified for a total of 5 articles that are within the past 5 years from the databases from the Library or any search engine that you wish to use (as long as the articles are peer reviewed). The problem could be medication errors within your facility. It could be an increase in AMA’s in the emergency room (due to long wait times), the choice is yours. The paper is to be written in APA format, Times New Roman 12 pt font. Have a title page and a reference page with references in the appropriate order. When formulating the paper keep the following in mind:
Outline the general context of the problem area.
Identify key theories, concepts and other ideas central to the problem area.
Identify the underlying assumptions of the problem area. Why do you think it is a problem? Why do you think it is important to solve this problem? Why is an answer important? To whom is an answer important?
Read around the area to get to know the background (and history if necessary). This helps you more clearly define the unanswered question or identify more clearly the contradiction.
When formulating a research problem:

Assignment 2: LASA 1: Ethical Issues for Forensic Psychologists

Read the following current version of the ethical guidelines by the American Psychology-Law Society:

http://www.apa.org/ethics/code/

This assignment is designed to help you synthesize and apply the current version of the ethical guidelines of forensic psychology to what you have been learning about the relationship of substance abuse in the criminal justice system, assessment, diagnosis and ethical considerations.

After thoroughly reading the ethical guidelines of forensic psychology, review the following scenarios and questions and respond to each question thoroughly. Your paper should reflect an understanding of applying the ethical standards to the course material.

Provide a summary which includes the purpose, history and goals of the ethical standards. What is your initial reaction to the ethical guidelines of forensic psychology?
Review and summarize the standards related to confidentiality. What steps will you take as a counselor in the criminal justice system to be in compliance with the ethical standards? After reviewing the textbook and online lecture, how will you handle “red flags” and the limits of confidentiality, yet be in compliance with the ethic guidelines?
You are presented with a client who is ordered through the court to undergo an examination or treatment. The client refuses to sign the confidentiality agreement, and has made it quite clear he is not going to participate. Identify what action you will take and provide the standard(s) which guided your decision. Be sure to include a summary of what confidentiality is and why it is important. Your significant other is a recovering addict.
According to the module lecture countertransference may occur when counseling an individual who has similar behaviors to the counselor’s family members. Review the standard 4.07 from the ethical guidelines of the American Psychology-Law Society and the online content. Discuss what options the counselor has to be in compliance with the standard. Be sure to include a discussion of countertransference.
Compare and contrast the ethical issues of confidentiality and countertransference: Which issue do you believe will be most difficult to deal with, and why? After reviewing the ethical guidelines and applying the guidelines to treatment and evaluation issues provide your opinion of the relationship of substance abuse treatment and sanctions of the court.
Your report should be at least 5 pages long. Remember to also include a cover page and reference page, and to support your arguments with information drawn from the ethical guidelines of the American Psychology-Law Society, the online content, the textbook, and other credible, scholarly sources to substantiate the points you are making. Apply APA standards for writing and citations to your work.

What amount needs to be saved at the end of each year in order for Bob and Carol to reach their financial goals?
Bob and Carol are planning for the birth of their first child exactly four years from today. They are now ready to start their savings plan for the big event. The current hospital cost for having a healthy baby at the local hospital is $6500 after all insurance payments. Pre-natal care for the immediate 12-month period prior to having the baby amounts to $2000 out-of-pocket costs. Carol’s best friend is planning a baby shower, so only a crib, a baby carrier, and other miscellaneous items will be needed, which all cost $1,200 today. However, these items will be purchased and paid for the day of the child’s birth, and the items are expected to increase in costs by 10% each year over the next four years due to inflation.
Bob and Carol now have $500 in cash that they plan to put in the bank in order to cover the all the new costs. Also, Uncle Ted has promised to contribute $1000 at the end of year two, as a present to Bob and Carol for baby expenses.

Review Henderson’s definition of nursing and the current ANA definition of nursing. Explain how and why the definition has developed over time.

Review Henderson’s definition of nursing and the current ANA definition of nursing. Explain how and why the definition has developed over time. If the definition would be updated again, what do you feel needs to be added? Be specific and provide reasons.
Case Study
In anticipation of the home health nurse visit scheduled for later in the morning, Mrs. Anderson reflected on her current living situation: The grandchildren were late for school again! What would their mother say? Ever since Mrs. Anderson had moved in with her daughter-in-law, it seemed that she just couldn’t do things the way her daughter wanted her too. She wondered if she would ever get it right. She had volunteered to make breakfast for the children and see them off to school in the mornings, since both her son and daughter-in-law left for work before the children left for school. She felt she had to help out somehow to repay her family. They had been helping her since before she fell and then had to have surgery. Her hip was healing nicely after the surgery and the doctor said she might be able to stop using the walker soon, but it seemed to be taking too long to her. The medicines were so difficult to take. The calcium pills were so big! Sometimes she just wanted to be back in her little apartment and be taking care of herself by herself. She just didn’t understand why everyone thought she would forget to eat or take care of herself. She was doing just fine!! She did very well when she was helping her late husband Fred. She helped with the bathing and turning and getting him out of bed when he couldn’t walk anymore. The home health nurses always told her what a good job she was doing with her husband. It just didn’t seem like 9 months since he had passed away.

What factors should be considered when the nurse assesses the self-care agency of Mrs. Anderson in order to determine Mrs. Anderson’s nursing care needs?
What self-care deficits can be identified for Mrs. Anderson?
Using Orem’s Theory of Self-Care Deficits, develop a plan of care for Mrs. Anderson. Develop 1 nursing diagnosis with nursing interventions.
What additional nursing theory (from the ones we had discussed) would you incorporate into Mrs. Anderson’s care to provide additional support? Explain how you would apply the theory to this case and how the theory would change the plan of care.
Power Point should include at least 3 outside references and the textbook. It should include title and reference slides and be 14-20 slides.
