In comparison to the British system and US system, what would be some of the challenges the US would face in adopting a national healthcare system?
Private vs. Public Control

The major payers in private healthcare (other than government programs) are employers, and this has been true since the inception of health insurance programs. There are several reasons why this is so, but one of the main reasons is employees are a defined risk pool based on the work performed for the company. Healthcare insurance companies are able to predict the financial risk (as in an experience rating) taken by the type of employees. If, for instance, the work is dangerous or injury prone, such as direct care in a nursing facility, then the cost to insure that group would be higher than for employees working at a telecommunications office. Government healthcare programs, such as Medicare and Medicaid, do not measure the cost of healthcare by the experience ratings.

Based on your understanding of the topic, answer the following:

Can programs like Medicare and Medicaid adopt such methods to defray costs? If yes, how would they implement such methods? If no, what suggestions would you make to defray costs?
Most of those receiving Medicare and Medicaid benefits are not employed.

How can the recipients of these programs be categorized into different risk pools? Explain.
The aging population is a force in healthcare continuing to have a dramatic effect on the direction of healthcare services. Many have discussed the aging population as the reason for the rising cost of healthcare. The pre- and baby-boomer generation (1946–65) were less knowledgeable and informed regarding the health risks and, therefore, engaged in risky behaviors that increased their susceptibility to chronic healthcare issues later in life.

What does that mean to the viability of Medicare and Medicaid?
Regardless of how many changes are made to Medicare to try to keep it solvent, aren’t the sheer numbers of eligible recipients versus the ever decreasing number of people paying into Medicare the real reason why Medicare will cease to exist in its present form?

The British national healthcare system owns many hospitals and directly employs workers. General practitioner salaries are set by the British government. The funding for healthcare services comes mostly from the government. This is significantly different from the US healthcare systems. Consider the issues with government healthcare programs in financing and administration.

If the child is developing in each milestone. Description of the child care centre the child care is a family child care. 5 children was in the day care and two teachers: main teacher and assistant. The day care is very nice, spacious, very child care friendly, safe. Separate nap room, two main play room the children to play, near the park and outside had enough space for them to play. Day care was decorated with children art work, ABCs but not super to much. They have two big windows so they can see outside. For a family child care i think it was a very good environment. Childs age The child was three years old but turn four years old few days before i left and we had a mini celebration. About the child The child is the only child at home but has one cat and dog. The mom is a single parent but has support from grandfather. Child goes to grandpa every weekend after therapy or mom drops him off friday afternoon. Is the child receiving support? The child has his own social work, he also goes to therapy every weekend. They pick him up and drop him off. Part 1:

Any discussion regarding healthcare for individuals age 65 and older must include Medicare. Medicare is the federally-funded healthcare program for individuals age 65 and older. Medicare has been at the center of many healthcare debates and its vitality is a major concern for Medicare beneficiaries.Another prevailing issue that may affect older adults is long term care services especially those services designed for older adults that require more support and assistance in such things as daily functioning (e.g. grooming, bathing, dressing, dining) and/or medical care.) Some common terms that are used to describe these services are aging-in-place and continuum-of-care.Some years ago, the term nursing home was changed to skilled nursing facility, in part due to the negative connotation of the name nursing home. Skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) are primarily reimbursed (paid) through Medicare and Medicaid (a government-funded program whose recipients are determined on the basis of financial need and other requirements).

Research some of the issues regarding Medicare. Explain how these issues have impacted older adults from a social and psychological perspective. Describe how older adults are dealing with perceived turmoil regarding Medicare.
Research skilled nursing facilities in your state or region. How do SNFs provide the needed psychosocial level of support for their residents? Describe some of the ways in which a facility can excel in providing these services(Hint: Research programs or initiatives (quality initiatives) to find out more information in this area).

One of the major themes of this course was the aging of the US population. By 2030, all of the baby boomers (those born between 1946 and 1965) will have reached the age of 65. The aging population will also present challenges for many industries, especially healthcare. Advances in technology, particularly in medical technology, are likely to provide solutions for those challenges.

Based on what you have learned in this course, what are the most important issues facing older adults between now and the year 2030? Identify some specific areas which are being addressed now, in order to meet the challenges of a larger, older population in the future.
Research the use of technology in regards to services for older adults. As consumers, how will older adults benefit from new services and technologies? Identify some specific areas in which new services and technologies would be used.

Although graduate school can be a route to a better paying, more satisfying job and career, it is quite expensive. According to the APA (2003), a doctoral degree results in most students entering into debts worth $50,000 to $75,000 or even more. The median debt incurred for a master’s degree is approximately $25,000 (Kantrowitz, 2011).

Using your textbook, the Internet, and the Argosy University online library resources, research choices such as entering the workforce immediately upon graduation or enrolling in a graduate school. On the basis of your research, respond to the following:

Select one of the options: entering the workforce upon graduation or attending graduate school. Identify at least five benefits and at least five risks associated your chosen option.
